No doubt on the 'blue' towels. Cleaned up nice. Still haven't replaced the old appliances since moving last fall so I wasn't too worried.
It was sorta like 1986 all over again...
Nope. Aluminum requires a different process. About a thousand links on the web about home anodizing. It's not difficult, but it does use some chemicals that are a little on the dangerous side, and good dyes are not cheap.
Made a little progress tonight. Seems the gold is very hard to get right in a pic. The V2 shocks look real good in gold. Tried moving the A&L chassis braces on the inside of the nose tubes to avoid using a nut. Also have a set of black nose tubes I might try.
great looking car bob, I would like to see it with both black nose tubes and black plastic front arm mounts. I think that would tie everything together really well.

Was thinking the same after seeing everything together. I have both to try and also black rear mounts to test out. Going to try and figure a way to keep the CF battery strap too. The gold Ti turnbuckles don't match too well, is their anywhere that may still have NIP black turnbuckles?
May try and figure out how to get the Ti black.
I finished this a while ago but thanks to my son I can now post pics  shame to admit but at 10 he's smarter when it comes to technical stuff.

The first pic shows the car how I got it. The pics on the Ebay ad were poor and from a distance, but it was cheap, $66 shipped. This is the car that was dyed with magic marker.
I didn't like the mismatched chassis parts at first, especially with all...

He buys the dye stuff from the company that he bought the ano kit from, and he says that the dye for the black ano is actually 3-4 times as costly as ANY of the other colors.
