Ok Who bought a Re Re Super Shot & what do you think of it ?

Post by Mad Racer »

I'm thinking of getting a Re re Super Hot Shot.

It's around $100 more than the Re re Hot Shot. Add the extra bits like the gold wheels with pin spike tyres, bearings, under skid tray, GT motor ( 25x1), Better shock set up, Bonus Vanquish wheels & the tough looking Super Shot shell with slightly different sticker sheet. A ESC that's good for a 2wd with a silver can. Still it's there in the kit.

That's a really good deal I feel. Problem I have is that I have a original modified Super Shot but I treat it with care. Even though I did buy a re re Hot Shot kit to re build it but it's not the same as thrashing a Re re I feel.

I really think this will be a small run on these so I better decide soon.

What's your thoughts ?

Holy cow $300+ ???

I expected more in the $200 price range, really, like $50 on top of a boomy's price (it's just a boomerang with front shocks and plated rims, cost-wise)

Not worth it at this price to me... I say wait another 6mths and pick the non-LE version for less once everyone's overstocked with it...

I really love the SuperShot... I remember lusting after them when I was a kid. But the re-re seems a little pricey to me as well.

I agree that it's on the pricey side. "But" if you add up the extra's over a Hot Shot as I said it;s pretty good value.

The link I put up is a Jap spec with no ESC.

MMMmm back in it's day here in Australia the kit alone was $550. So I think it's not bad. Then again we paid way to much for anything r/c. The Checkpoint motors in the U.S sold for $70 according to Big Jim's Black Book. I paid More than twice that at $160.00.

Love the net.

I would like to read that book!
Have 1 of his motors along a few spares.
Planning on it putting it in the scans section?
