The Tenderfoot’s red Tomahawk
The Tenderfoot’s red Tomahawk or Hot Tricks inspired Tomahawk.
This journey all started when my friend “Walfre” introduced me to his Hot Tricks Ultima 2 years ago. It looks rather neat with all those red parts on his Ultima, and that inspired me to build this Tomahawk.
As you know, Hot Tricks never made any parts for the Tomahawk or the Scorpion for that matter. This mean’s I have to anodize the parts my selves or rather let someone do it for you. So 1½ years ago I asked around at different companies what it would cost to get it done. The price tag was between $225 and $300… Then I thought about Pergu2000 and ordered 2 aluminum wings, one red and one natural. After that I contacted him asking if he was willing to anodize my parts, but that conversion got lost in cyberspace so project was put on hold because of the “Blueprint Scorpion”.
Around Christmas time I went through all my project ide’s and it all started all over again. But this time I was in luck, a fellow member on the Swedish forum RSB Sebastian was able to help me. For $30 I got all my parts anodized, and then I saw “Kyosho Scorpion kid’s” red Tomahawk. My first reaction was “he has stolen my ide’”, but that’s of cause is not true. There was only two persons that know about this project ide’ of mine and they would never tell anybody I think.
So this is a straight “put parts together project” as many of my projects are. The only thing I have to figure out is the paint scheme; I’m leaning towards white, red and black scheme. So like to have your input with suggestion’s how to lay it out…

Wow that is going to turn out killer. I like your idea for black in the body but i would incorporated some red. I think a black widow scheme would be killer

Re: The Tenderfoot’s red Tomahawk
Don't belittle your project by citing Hot Trick as your inspiriation.
If HT made a kit for the Tomahawk or Scorpion they would've replaced the chassis rails with a flat sheet of red fiberglass and a giant one piece aluminum front end, and the stock aluminum arms with weaker thin aluminum ones..maybe even a-arms. All they would've kept was the stock transmission
Your build is bound to be 100x better than what Hot trick could've done to a Tomahawk.

Re: The Tenderfoot’s red Tomahawk
That will be killer looking.
I try not to look at these threads on these cars as I was given two scorpions as a kid and Im embarrassed to say what I did to them. Almost cry to think what I "had"
Would love to have 1 again......

I hate new ideas....they're too expensive.Hcp22 wrote:Thanks for all nice comments’ guys! And I love when give me new ides’

You got me thinking about how to build a Hot Trick Scorpion but I just can't afford two Hot Trick Trailing arm kits.

I don’t think money is the biggest problem, finding them would be the real problem!Phin wrote:I hate new ideas....they're too expensive.Hcp22 wrote:Thanks for all nice comments’ guys! And I love when give me new ides’![]()

They are, but crap is still useful for cultivating a nice looking tomato.Hcp22 wrote:Phin wrote:...
