I am usually pretty good with this stuff, but I dont recall ever seeing one of these. I was rummaging the bins today at the not-so-local hobby store and amongst lots of good old Kyosho stuff I found this:

It appears to be a belt guard, but the area for the belt is very very narrow.

Solved :-) Looks to be used on the MR-4BC at least, maybe others. It was given to me as they had no idea either.

that backbone and cover was stock on the stock mr4 buggy and truck.

Holy Cow it's awesome!!! I've always thought the RS4MT was the ultimate basher and I never understood why no one else ever did electric 4wd MT's, with the ease of driving of full-wheel traction and the rugged, all-terrain abilities of truck tires (as opposed to smaller buggy ones)... sounds like Yokomo thought the same with the HotDog first, and then that one.
