Questions on some motors

Post by ratdude »

Just going through my stash , and wondering about some of these

1st up is a Reedy Firehawk and I am just wondering about the vintage and collectability of it , I am guessing none.
( NO , I do not want to know the value , only if I should kick myself for running it ? )

Next up is a ebay junk motor I have yet to fool with, label says Psycotic Reaction , which I do remember from back in the day but the way the label is askew I got to wonder if thats what it is . End of the can says Pro Stock 13 and japan . I am pretty sure it has a 27 turn armeture in it though . It is a crimp together bushing motor.

This one I got zilch on , the name doesn't ring a bell , its a screwed together, non timing adjustable bushing job
Interesting ( to me at least ) vents on it .

OK , last one. I actually have a few of these. All have no marketing stickers on them .bushing, screw together , non timing adjustable , with yet another different vent on it . Also the end bell is marked Epic Japan and 01 uf. Built in suppression caps ?

LAst one is P2K based, very good stocker from late 90's, D3.5-based iird. Fourth rebuildable to hit the market after the Chameleon, Rage TypeR, PZ5R. head is fragile.

I dont think the first three are much collectible to be honest, there are stashes of them all over each and every one of us' workshops ;)

I had to google it since I never had a Reedy back in the day ( and therefore know nothing about them ).

But it sure does look like the same can ( minus the respray ) .

I just dig the vent design on it .

Thanks !
