problem with battery fitting
I see a lot of RC10's with the battery holders facing sideways, rather than with the length of the car. I would like to have mine this way, however the 6 cell battery pack does not fit. How are other people getting their batteries to fit? I haven't been able to find any 6 cell hump packs anywhere...
thanks!

The 6 cell packs that fit in that car in 84-86 are smaller than the current offerings from about 91' and on- I don't know that you will have any real luck without making your own 6 cell hump pack-

Yes. It's the stock/normal battery.littleVETTE wrote:do you have the plastic end caps on the pack?

Re: problem with battery fitting
Are you trying to fit a nicad or a nimh batter? The nimh batteries are a little larger.

It's an NIMh battery. I haven't tried a nicad.... Perhaps I can remove the cover caps and replace it with tape or something?fredswain wrote:Are you trying to fit a nicad or a nimh batter? The nimh batteries are a little larger.

Yes. I believe thats what lV was getting at. If your cells are inline remove the endcaps and try it. There are a few threads somewhere in the rc10 section that goes over it but can't find any right off hand. Doesn't work for side by side cells thoughreptilejason wrote:Perhaps I can remove the cover caps and replace it with tape or something?
