RC10 Stealth Slipper question
RC10 Stealth Slipper question
Can I use a B4 slipper assembly onto an original upper gear on a stealth? It seems that the original RC10 slipper pad parts are not plentiful (and more costly).
Any suggestions? Thank you!

End result considering longevity, price, what do you think is better?

Re: RC10 Stealth Slipper question
Well, it is better, but not necessarily worth it... for most mills and if you have one already, the stock rc10 slipper is just fine... if you're building a trans from the ground up, then it makes more sense to use a B4's as the parts are more widely available and the performance is certainly no less

Re: RC10 Stealth Slipper question
I have been running the original slipper on my RPM 2.65 stealth with a 10.5 brushless without any issues. I would like to upgrade to the b4 at some point.

Re: RC10 Stealth Slipper question
Tower still has the b3/t3 slipper parts on hand for around 18 bucks. The friction area is about the same as the b4 set up just cheaper.
part numbers are 9253, 9252, and 9251

Re: RC10 Stealth Slipper question
I like running a B4 assembly because there are so many B4s in our club and we can mix/match our spurs for testing.

Re: RC10 Stealth Slipper question
My shortcourse 10T has the 2.25 stealth and stock slipper. The frankenbuggy has the b4 trans and slipper. HUGE advantage to the old one is I don't have to readjust the slipper from scratch after a gear change.

Re: RC10 Stealth Slipper question
New B4 parts can be found on e-bay for around $10 (slipper plates, pads, spur, hardware) -pulled new from kits. Just pick up a layshaft (same source) for around $5. The whole assy shipped for less than $20 is pretty typical. -Jeff
