RC10L Damper Disc Teflon Tape

I've recently started back at the hobby and I'd like to restore a few old cars. I have a couple already and I'd like to get a couple more. I'm starting to gather some parts together and I started looking for the Teflon tape that we used to use on the upper pod graphite and the damper disc. Does anyone know where I can pick some of that up?

Ebay is your best shot. Oldrc.com had some at one point

google is your friend. there are tons of places to get adhesive back teflon tape.

Hi guys, any ideas if there's a possibility to purchase the white translucent damper stay for RC10 with gold chassis? Or maybe the carbon fiber type. Please advise. I'm unable to locate any in Singapore.

How about changing the arms downward to the longer version I think WE has? Is it possible? Is it cost effective and does the performance improved?

Does anyone know if the DS Sleeved Dampers use the same seals as Tamiya's current CVA and/or TRF dampers?

Pulled one of mine apart after getting home tonight. I measured the lower sleeved damper seals and they appear to be standard 6mm x 3mm (same as TRF damper and Team Associated gold and Team shocks... along with many others).

I have a little Duratrax Cliff Climber, and it's got bronze or some other type of metal bushings in it. Which do you guys think would make a better lube, grease, typical bushing oil for motors, or a thin teflon/silicone spray like Cow R/C...

Disc springs... What's the consensus on how many to use? Procat manual shows 2, but I believe some people use 4.
Where can I get a Procat front belt, any ideas? -It's the last piece in the jigsaw for my car (though my U/J's are very worn).

Anyone know where I can get a slipper disc for a YZ10 T.C.S, or an alternative part that will work (e.g. An associated part?).

Am currently restoring a YZ10 and it needs a new slipper disc....

Hello all,

How do you determine if a rulon clutch disc and diff drive rings need to be replaced?

I'm in the middle of rebuilding a stealth transmission and dont want to unnecessarily replace parts.

I suspect that the carbon fiber disk is a crossover from fishing reels. The rulon drags are commonly replaced with carbon fiber.

There are also special greases (Cal's) made for baitcast reel drags. It makes them smoother, without losing much...
