Nope. The only thing magic eraser seems to do is perplex the wife where am I going with a magic eraser and whyTHEYTOOKMYTHUMB wrote:Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Sponge. I've never used it on ano'd material, but I doubt it will hurt it. Cleans about anything.

This I'm a little worried about because of scratching but I'm willing to try anything.RC104ever wrote:I used comet with great results on one chassis.
On a side note, the admins will be happy to hear that I've learned that I can quote two posts in one reply.

Toothpaste is about the finest (least gritty) polish, but if the Magic Eraser didn't work then I doubt toothpaste will do any good. Well, other than keeping it minty fresh.jon burrows wrote:This I'm a little worried about because of scratching but I'm willing to try anything.RC104ever wrote:I used comet with great results on one chassis.

I say save the og tires, put some moderns on there and run that bad girl, in my honest opinion unless it came rite out of a box and was built with in the two day rule its not a queen,im not in ANY WAY saying that you dont have a good looking girl there, but you know deep down inside you want to see that girl spinning the tires , beating the moderns buggys at the track getting all those thats bad ass comments at the track have fun! let it bring that kid out ![Wink ](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

It's no queen by any means. I have 5 more lined up, that I plan to make a modern runner out of one of them.
The truth is that I really don't have a desire to run em' anymore. I do love wrenching' though. Weird. I think it's just a phase though. That's probably all gonna change when I do decide to put a battery in it.

No reason to run that. Get a beater or a modern and run that.jon burrows wrote:well put!

Re: a project...finally!
i dont know about that last sentence thumbs, ive seen your compilation
. a little modesty never hurt anybody...
i agree, running the modern stuff is a better route, i cant see scratching this tub any more than it is. i have a b4.1 that i ran about 2x, nope 3x. but it was more fun watching my son trying to drive it, even at full speed into the curb.
Finally Finished. Question is: body or nekid? paint or clear? aargh!!!!!
gotta add the artsy fartsy shot...

My only opinion on the body is don't leave it clear whatever you choose. I hate that look personally. No body is fine too though.

Re: a project...finally!
Nice clean example of an original RC-10 that you would see tearing up the tracks back in the mid 80s.
Re: a project...finally!
Looks very nice. My first restoration was painted as a Box Art car, on the second one I mounted a body but left it clear so you can admnire the chassis ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
