Shodog's RC4WD Trailfinder jeep edition build
I saw that these were on sale at RC4WD and I wanted to grab one before they were gone. The shots below are using my existing jeep body. I have an entirely new body I want to use for this project. I plan to mod the body a little bit like getting rid of the body mounts on the rear and some of the side steps

All the aluminum is what made me want it in the first place. Here are some chassis shots

Sweet! I've been putting off my all-aluminum Wraith build, but this might just be what I need to get it started. I have a cruise to go on first, so it's going to be a couple of weeks first. I will have to come back to this thread for more encouragement later

Beautiful scale look to that! I'm also digging the all-alloy parts.

I could easily see just this sitting on a shelf here. Nothing more needed.

Re: Shodog's RC4WD Trailfinder jeep edition build
This evening I did some tinkering. Changed out the RC4WD wheels for some ones from RC Channel. I also installed some lights although the fronts are not shining too brightly. In addition I used a set of Toyranosaur Warn hubs in place of nuts on the front wheels

I think it looks much better without the overly long wheel studs. I was actually going to suggest cutting them down, but you already took care of that.

Your Jeep looks fantastic!
The only thing that gave it away (at first glance) was the bumper holes in the rear corners.
RC Channel makes some great looking parts.
It almost looks real!
*Personally, I kind of dug the wheel studs & scale lug nuts..
