The flexibility would be relative to the thickness. Between two hard, flat surfaces in a thin layer, flexibility isn't an issue. That's why so many racers recommend it, even over quality double-sided tape. There is a reason KO makes an aluminum servo case for 1/8 scale and crawler applications- the torque that it can be subjected to is really impressive. Although crawlers rarely move fast enough to have a "crash" , sometimes wedging between a rock and a hard place is bound to break something-
