I need some wiring help please
I know this is more of a scaler thing but its still electrical lol
Ok so i plan to wire up my 1.9 this weekend. Here is a diagram of what i think i need to do.Id like a second opinion on my plan. I also have a question on wiring up the LED controller.
As you can see in the diagram i did not draw any wiring for the LED controller, my question is this, the red wire gets cut from the ESC to the Receiver. The LED controller came with two y harness wires to connect to CH1 and CH2, Im guessing the LED controller gets power from the two channel connections, what power will be coming out of the ESC (CH2 red wire) Im not sure how the sidewinder works with power, does it reduce the 3S battery voltage to 6 volts? or will that wire fry the LED controller?
I aslo thought about just using the BEC to run just the winch, thats if the ESC cuts the power down to 6 volts on the receiver plug.

Re: I need some wiring help please
Ok here is update two, With this setup i will use the Castle BEC for all power (other then the ESC).
Would i need the black wire from the ESC to the RX? Im not sure how the grounding circuit works in the ESC.

Re: I need some wiring help please
Ok my last version for now, It is basically 3 modified Y-Cables and one custom cable for power.
This will send all power from the BEC and still have all the grounds like normal.
The second picture is the overlays of the cable designs. I know it looks like a mess but its pretty simple.

You'll have to wait for jwscab I went cross-eyed after 15 seconds.

Looks good. Just make sure you size the wire gauge for the winch. If the wire is too thin you get an unacceptable voltage drop on the rest of the system including the reciever.

The one thing im worried about is the BEC, the wires out the converted side are just small receiver wires. i dong get that part of the whole setup.

Re: I need some wiring help please
why are there three wires? Does it use the brown for ground, and orange and red are both outputs?
You might actually want to use the ESC BEC for the receiver and speed controller, and use the UBEC for everything else.
