LOL! Thanks for the welcome! Yea, my accountant, i.e. my wallet, would have been very thin for years had I found this site years ago! Im blown away by all the info here! Since joining, I have read many threads and I can tell by the conversations, that there are a bunch of really great guys here! That makes the time experience here all the more special!
Thanks for listing that thread about making the nylons white again! I currently have the rear end disassembled, except for the stealth tranny, and I will be giving the nylons a bath very soon! I will be taking pics before and after.
It shouldnt take much to get it running again. The rear tires have dry rotted, so Im going to do the B4 conversion to run more modern tires. The front end I will be keeping stock.
The stealth trans still spins pretty good. Is there any little tricks to get it to free spin longer, less friction?
Initially, I will use the Reedy Comp Stock motor that is pictured. The stock set-up will be more than enough to get my driving skills back, atleast the few skills that I had way back then.
I had to buy a new battery charger and another battery pack, so I will have to solder the connectors.
After that I think I will be good to go! We use to have a small dirt track in the backyard back in the day. I may have to borrow my buddy's tiller and re-create it! I cant see running it on carpet indoor. For me, my RC-10 and a natural dirt track just seems right!
