Yay I got a T4

Post by shodog »

My buddy has been pestering me to get him a stadium truck so I won one off of ebay for a decent price.

The question is, should I give him my T3 and keep the T4 for myself?

The thing is, My son also has a factory team T3 and we have a boat load of spare parts to keep them both running and I just upgraded mine to the factory team specs.

Is the T4 really a better truck? I'm not going to race it, just bash around the neighborhood.

I would keep the T4 and give him the T3. Don't get me wrong, both are great bashers but the T4 has a slight edge. Some will say the T4 will break easier but I haven't seen a difference in durability between the two (I have both a T3 & T4). My T4 has a taken a good amount of abuse and keeps on going and my T3 has seen it's fair share of hard running itself. I personally like the T4 better for many reasons but the main one is parts availability. Either way it's your decision but I recommend keeping the T4.

I am not sure which to keep - My T3 seems incredibly rugged where as my T4 kept breaking front A-arms and bulkheads. I finally got the RPM front A-arms and now it doesnt break at all. Personally I like the T4 better, but only after upgrading the front and the shock shafts.

Since you and your son both have a T3 along with a bunch of parts already, I'd keep them and give the buddy the T4. This way, if he breaks something he can go to the hobby shop for T4 parts instead of asking you for T3 parts (if you had given him the T3).
Old school racing all the way!

...and your boy will be more like you. If your car is newer and better, he may feel left out. If you do decide to keep the T4, I would give that one to the boy.

But then again, I don't know how old your boy is. If he is under 8 or 9, I would give him the T4. Any older and I would tell him to get a paper route and buy his own T4
He's an idiot. Comes from upbringing. His parents are probably idiots too.

Thanks for the advice guys, I think just from a parts availablility I'll probably give my buddy the T4

I asked my 12 year old son and he said I should keep the T3 so it will be like his.
