RC10 Runner build - RC10CE?
RC10 Runner build - RC10CE?
Hi,
So i will have to get a photo or two of what i am starting with. It was an ebay purchase a number of years ago.
The car has a "C" stamp behind the tranny which is a Stealth transmission. Majority of the plastic items are white plastic, however the hubs (front and Rear) and carriers plus a few other bits (shock caps) are black plastic.
The shock bodies are anno gold....
Strangely, the chassis is anno green
I am wondering if this was done by the previous owner, or were there optional chassis released in anodised green.
It does seem like fresh annodising has filled some of the small scratches in the underside of the chassis so i am thinking the former...?
I will post a pic tonight to illustrate!

Re: RC10 Runner build - RC10CE?
Unfortunately the car has been thrown together for the ebay sale where i purchased it from.
I am not too sure that all the parts are from that car or make. The rear springs look very heavy and too long (?), but all in all its ok.
It may have been owned by someone on this site!
It will be a complete tear down and then re-build to a runner with a brushed Reedy, possibly Nimh and i will use one of my older radio systems.
I want to upgrade the dampers and springs to the B2/B3 spec if possible, also add a Worlds battery brace. Strip the chassis and back to flat black annodising. Source a wing and wire, gear cover, shell (not sure which one) and will need a good ESC and Servo!
Oh yeah, and i would like to change out the dog bones with something a bit nicer.... any suggestions on what item will be a direct fit in there?
Cheers!

MIP CVD's would be nice for it. I think they are part #1007 and found on ebay quite regularly.Brent J wrote:Oh yeah, and i would like to change out the dog bones with something a bit nicer.... any suggestions on what item will be a direct fit in there?

Just a thought though. why would you strip that unique chassis and make it ordinary black again? There are tons of black pans out there or gold pans that could be stripped and reannodized black...
