Hello all.
If you look at my avatar on the left you will see My pride and joy.
It is a vintage Team associated gold pan rc10 monster truck.
It was very top heavy and I, My wife and any one I let try drive it woul flip it numerous times.
Needless to say that body didn’t last long.
So I ordered a printed body (looked cartoonish)and lowered it as much as I could keeping it a monster truck.
Still even though I got better at it and was choosier about who I let drive it it still was to top heavy. So I decided to turn it back into a buggy and bought a rc10b4.1 body and also decided to paint it myself.
I had to modify it quite a bit for this body.
I have never used an airbrush and for that matter never painted an rc but I'm a jack of all trades and a master at retirement so what the heck.
So after watching a couple of video's on airbrush techniques I bought paint, airbrush, and flame mask.
Below is a couple of pics of the progression.
The only thing missing from my buggy are the wheels which are on order and will be here soon.
I’m kind of proud of the outcome and even though the flames don’t match exactly and there's a few other things I would do differently.
Nuff said, enjoy the pics.

The b4.1 body was is smaller than I thought so I fabricated a rear mount out of aluminum.

Painted the blue darker towards the rear and lighter as I got to the masking tape in the front.

painted the white front end then removed the flame mask and sprayed orange along the edge of the flame then yellow down the middle.

finished product.
Thanks for looking at my baby.
