Hi there

nice yokie - shame it's so hard to read with the caps lock ;)

Is this a J-type or an M2-USA?

I had an M2 USA bitd and I thought the difference between the J and the USA were the shocks... but the shocks on yours sure look like those on my USA. I bought mine in fall 98, it just had been released then! I built it box stock and won my first ever race in the US with it as I had just arrived in the country... this was also the first DTM race too. The M2 was a heck of a contender!!!

If my memory serves me well.....I think this is the M2 with Type J shocks (the M2 had the smaller red shocks) The Type J also has a different top plate that central 'shock' system was located nearer to the rear of the car. Eventually they came out with a top plate that did away with that central shock as it was prone to bending in event of a collision. Happy to be wrong as this was sometime ago I had both these cars but long gone unfortunately
