just got this, its a tq10. chassis is better than expected, and should shine up fine w/da sandpaper. any ideas on how to recoat it? gelcoat? anyways the tires are brand new not glued to the wheels and should make a nice addition to my new segment of the hobby, rock crawling! after i restore the chassis itself i will install all period correct factory parts. it even has the rare black anodized (non-stealth) transmission mount in great shape
Shoot the chassis with krylon triple thick clear and sand it back with 600 and then 1200. Looks like "the rest of the parts" except for the bellcranks and axles (and wheels/tires) are the right stuff for a 2nd gen TQ10.
Hi Guys,
A while ago I was trying to figure out what a certain old school car I had was. It turned out to be the Nikko Mascot. Well, the dish wheels and spiked tires I had just gotten for my B4.1 inspired me to do a body in the style of the old...

Thanks guys :)
Oh yeah it definitely runs a LOT better....it actually ran good enough to cause one of the rear wheel ball cups to crack in half. That was after a series of end over end flips. Simple fix though. Wish I would have had this one back...

Here's the build start after the disassembly, cleaning process and chassis prep :D I know it isn't much at the moment, but the new graphite towers will replace the originals along with anything that needs the some attention. Stay tuned, much thanks...

Thanks Reggie, very interesting information. You don't really see it when the tower and mounts are bolted up so out of sight out of mind  I'm happy with it and it's nice to look at :D
I drew up the masks, cut and applied them. Hoping to...
Since I keep getting told to shelf my TQ10, I have decided to restore it to stock as much as possible. Here's the issue I have at the moment. All the white parts are currently dyed orange/red. No way to change that. I have a set of arms in...

your future ex wife? then keep your cars and get rid of her, that's a win-win situation I guess
I found a TQ10 Today. I don't know much about the TQ10 other than it was designed By Associated and distributed by Horizion. This one is in very nice conditon with only minor scuffs and slight chipping on the bottom of the chassis. Missing the Body...
