Weazl's first race vehicle

Post by madweazl »

While I had a JrX2 as a kid, my first real racing happened a few years after I left home in '94 (best I can recall). I did enter a race at Outlaw Hobbies with the JrX2 shortly after I bought it but I didnt finish (may not of even started, all I can remember is doing some practice and I'm not sure if I broke before or during the actual race). I did however race the Junior T for almost a year until the XX-T was released (believe I was the 8th person to receive one off a pre-order at The Ranch). While this one came with a Magnum Sport, I actually ran it with a first gen Magnum Jr (still on the hunt for one in nice shape). It looks like the chassis on this truck was replaced and it was never run after that. The arms, pivot blocks, and front bumper are chewed up pretty good but hopefully I can find those before too long. The body needs to be replaced as well but I'll get 'er done at some point.

Why does the underside look like it was partially melted or something?

No idea why it looks like that but the picture exaggerates it more than it actually is.

I didnt really have the money but the nostalgia of this particular vehicle was too much to pass up. Was supposed to get a Reedy stock motor with it that looked to be pretty much new but he didnt bring it.
