cat 2000

Post by bigmatt-s2rst »

hi all, found this forum at the weekend after i had a garage clearout and found my cat 2000 from my youth!!

my reason for posting is im thinking of restoring the cat and was wondering if there are many spares available?
the car needs(that i know of) front wishbone, rear diff, or at least the diff repairing, belts and a bodyshell

are these bits easy enough to get hold of or should i cut my losses and stick it on ebay?

hope you lads can help

Schumacher still have loads of CAT 2000 parts listed as available on their website.

They seem to still have belts, diff parts and even new bodyshells :)

The diff gear is not the same as the cougar 2000.....cat 2000 is belt driven the cougar 2000 is a geared tranny.

Easiest way would be searching at Ebay UK. Usually a lot of Schumacher parts could be found there.

I also have my old CAT 2000. Actually this is one of two cars only what are left from my past cars. And there were a lot of them.
It´s just it isn´t an offroad car anymore but converted to a 235mm touring car as we had such racing class here what was very popular.
