Brent J wrote:Hi,

Ive been a losi supporter ever since my first (xx). I currently run a 22 and a xxx4G+, both being brilliant cars!

Over the past year i have started to collect a few of the older models and im currently trying to re-build my xxcr ke (please correct me if its not a KE!). I have a JRX2 which is next up :)

I purchased the car off Ebay and it is in fair condition missing some parts however. (pics attached). I was hoping that some people in this forum may be able to help me out?

The parts that i would like to source are:

Wing wire
Wing buttons
Appropriate body shell - repro is ok
era correct esc
era correct motor
correct wheels & tyres
Front Bulkhead...(i would like to find a black one)

If anyone has spares they would like to sell, i would love to hear from you!
parts are hard to find, but when you access to the trade section you may be lucky!

Ben I'm guessing Brent hasn't posted enough yet to earn Buy/Sale/Trade section access?

@ Brent J, looks like you are getting there with your parts collection.... send Bearrickster a PM regarding the shell If you haven't already done so

Hi Dan,

you are correct! I have not yet made enough posts to qualify for the forsale & trade section!
I also cannot access the link that was posted earlier tin the thread - assuming it leads to the traders section...

I have PM'ed Bearickster and he is out of the current run of bodies. . . not to worry. Im sure one will pop up sooner or later.

Ive since purchased some NOS front rims and Lexan disks and a futaba radio. Once i have all the parts and get some respectable time away from work i will begin the rebuild :)

ok,
So progress has been slow, but i have made some in roads. First i stripped the old buggy and washed ll the plastic and graphite parts in warm soapy water. Unfortunately the graphite parts don't ever look 'clean' so to speak with the different shades of the composite coming through!

First off was rebuilding the differential.
The diff did have a lot of dirt in it, but there was little wear on the diff shims or diff balls. All the bearings received a good clean and were re-oiled.

Next i started re-assembling the front hubs, caster blocks and arms.

I more or less have most parts to finish the buggy, but i still have not tracked down a new xxcrbk shell  One did pop up on ebay about 2 weeks ago but i was outbid

Dood, you do realise bearrickster has 5 re-pro's he is currently trying to get rid of!? Damn good quality too, and I think they come with the wing also!!!

I do now :D

I have Bearickster actually contacted me re the shell... The tough part... Stickers, Stickers, Stickers!

I am still between thoughts on the motor plate. I am trying to find someone that can re-annodize the Kinwald Blue! Its is iin very fair condition with the exception of a few small gouges where it screws to the Tee plate.

I also nee to try and find some Kinwald blue screws for the shock collars (i believe they were blue out of he box, and some Kinwald blue wheel nuts.

I should just about be good to go there!

I tell you, i am looking forward to getting the right number of Posts to gain access to the buy / sell area... It should certainly help with my JRX2 build.

Cheers,

Brent

I can get you a high res pic of the Kinwald stickers if you want to try and get a set re-produced?

TBH they are rather dull and not as bright as the die-cut stickers were...

@ Jamin,

Hmmmm those sticker sheets must be worth a fortune

If you can get a high-res pic of those sheets that would be appreciated! I suspect getting a repro one off sticker sheet must be expensive!!
