Cool find

Post by romulus22 »

Picked this up a while ago from a crawler friend for super cheap. Couldn't let him know how bad I wanted it until I gave him the cash. Anyways it may not be that cool but I really like it.

Nice. Is the chassis plate painted?

The bumper is attached to the wrong side of the chassis...

thats true, but I always liked them on that side as they protected the chassis a lot better.

Yeah I'm sure it is paint and not dye. Also the bumper is on how I bought it. I recently pulled out my tub that has all of my vintage cars. This was on top and I pretty much bought it, came home and stuck it in the tub right before I moved. The thought crossed my mind to strip all the paint off the chassis and clean up all the white parts but since its far from mint I think leaving it alone gives it more of a vintage racer look.

Cool score  I have a chassis just like that in decent condition I'm not using - if you decide to restore the car and want it let me know.

Nice score. That's a great looking body. Also, are those rubber tires?

Those are early TRC radial capped tires, before they went to a wraparound style. Most of the time the wheels were black. I didn't know they made white in that style wheel. Their older mesh wheels were available in white.

Thanks for the offer and I'll keep it in mind but I have so many other projects in front of this it would be forever for me to get to it.
