Tamiya Bear Hawk to restore its glory
Hi guys, need some inputs regarding Tamiya Bear Hawk,
I bought this car in haste, now I'm having problems on where to get "bevel gear" to make it run again. I have searched high and low in E-bay but find nothing
Do you have experienced to mod the gear with this car? (putting different gear that will not need big modification)
thanks

Hi, thanks for the link
Looking to the compatibility chart shown in the link, I might have similar bevel gear in my tool box. I will try to dig my old stuff first

As far as I'm aware the Bear Hawk shares some parts with the Stadium Blitzer and Falcon so that might help you out in your restoration.

To restore or not to restore that is the big ?
I've stripped the gearbox to put the bevel gear but quite dissapointed about the current condition of the kit.
All the while I thought only the bevel gear is lacking to make this car running, but when I removed the screws, cracks show here and there.
cracks here and there
by the way do you know what is the brand of the rear aluminum shocks shown in the pic. If I'm not mistaken its not Tamiya
the front shocks
With my dissapointment I called it a day, and did not bother to disassemble the front part .

here is the body shell
But in fairness to the seller of the kit, he charged me fair enough .

Thanks for the generous offer
I bought this by accident; and the price I paid for it is only equivalent to, one day track fee, two bottles of beers with appetizer and a bunch of fun .
What I'm looking for is a Tamiya Blitzer Body shell to use for this project .
