Noob questions...
Noob questions...
Howdy,
I have had my RC10 CE for about 5 months and I am blown away at how much fun its been. I can't drive worth a crud but it's still a kick.
A couple of questions (and yes, I used the search feature BEFORE asking these):
1) I am in the process of building a 2nd RC10 and I want to convert it to an RC10T. I have a few different parts lists but I am hoping the experts here can give me better direction. I have purchased extended A-Arms to start, what else is needed?
2) I have searched far and wide but I am having trouble finding RC10 T bodies. What works that is obtainable?
Those are really the top 2 questions I have right now. I also recently purchased an RC12 T4 partially assembled kit from Associated. It's also been a lot of fun.

Re: Noob questions...
I picked up the T4 set up from AE recently myself. Great price, picked up the FT tie rods and battery strap, just need the front alloy brace. Already dropped a brushless system in it, a blast to drive.
Dont know on the body question, maybe someone else can take the lead on that, but I think for suspension, you also need shock towers (F&R), noseplate & bulkhead, along with body mounts.

Re: Noob questions...
So is my question just hard to answer or has it been asked a billion times already?
Getting parts is harder and harder so I am currently searching out other avenues.
JK Racing,
Thanks for the reply. The body mounts make sense but I was surprised about the shock towers. Looks like it might be a little harder than I thought.

Re: Noob questions...
in my opinion, i'd find an rc10t on ebay, and leave your buggy alone. you can still get them fairly cheap.
if you really want to do it, here's a quick list off the top of my head:
nose plate
screw kit for nose plate
front bulkhead
bulkhead brace
front body mount
front shock tower
front inner hinge pins
1.02 shocks
nose brace tubes
steering bellcrank
front a-arm
rear a-arms
rear inner hinge pins
rear outer hinge pins
rear shock tower
rear body mounts
truck tie rods (all of them)
tires and wheels
truck dogbones or universals
rear hub carriers
i think that's it. i'm probably forgeting something.

Re: Noob questions...
WOW! Quite the list. Thanks man!
I think I will take your advice and keep my eye out for an RC10T. We'll see.
In the mean time, I think I will throw on the extended A-Arms I bought and see if I can pick up a kit to use today's tires and wheels.
