I've been doing some looking around on that site too and I think the pitch is 3mm HTD. At least that's what matches the belts on my Tamiya 414M and Kyosho TF-2 and I think they were the same as the Yok I had. Pitch is measured from the center of one tooth to the center of the next and I measured 3mm. Checking around online I noticed the 3mm HTD had the rounded teeth like the belts I was comparing them too.

...Could be wrong though. After looking at Retro R/C's 93 Works, it looks like the teeth on the belt are flat at the top and not round like the 3mm HTD.

From what I remember the finepitch belts didn´t have rounded teeth but the teeth were flat at the top as you say. With rounded teeth it would be more difficult keeping them from slipping. You also had to run some more tension on the finepitch belts for the same reason.

That belt looks very similar to the option released by Buds for the Schumacher CAT.

I ordered a bunch of belts and did get some orange ones.... but they'll be for show only as the pitch isn't the same. I'll post most details shortly but basically the belt material that comes in the orange color isn't available in the exact pitch or length needed. There are orange belts that are super close to the original yokomo belt but the pitch difference will probably make them slip if actually used for anything more than aesthetic purposes.

I'll post the belt material that is orange and the pitches I got soon. I have to find the paperwork that came with all of the belts for the info.

Ok, I fished out the paperwork and checked everything out again from the SDP website. The orange belts that I got were made from the Urethane-Polyester material. I also ordered Neoprene and Polyurethane but they both turned out to be black. This particular orange material is only available in 2.03mm MXL pitch which is not an exact match to the stock 2mm fine pitch Yokomo stuff. This is why I think it is great for Masami replicas but not necessarily good for runners. Someone would have to do some testing to find out for sure.

This is helpful information. I've ordered some MXL belts from SDPi for my Schumacher Cat.

Do you have any idea where you can get "high torque" MXL belts with the rounded tooth profile?
