When it's R/C related, but doesn't fit anyplace else.

I've never had a place to work on R/C's before. when I wanted to work on anything I had to drag it all out onto the kitchen table and then pack it up and put it away. I finally made myself a little hobby table. It actually has to do triple duty as a nightstand, computer repair station, and hobby table.

This is the table I use to fix computers on when I need to bring them home. Prior to this picture it was completely cluttered with a pile of stuff.

Its an odd shape with poor surface area so I will be putting a piece of waferboard on top of it. To prevent it from sliding I used some rug pad scraps.

Here it is sporting its new top. It was a ramp in its previous life.

Finished! New Hobbico mat still sealed in plastic.

I have yet to use it as that night the halogen bulb in the lamp burnt out. I will be replacing it with a larger led one.

You should try one of those OTT lights they work great, and are not that hard on your eyes.

First time I've heard of them. I went and looked and they seem like just what I'm after. Thanks for the tip! :)

I've lived in my current house for about 7 years, and I finally carved out a space to set up my shop! We bought the house from my in-laws, and unbeknownst to me, it came with the basement pre-filled :x

So, 7 years and 5 dumpster loads later, I have a space of my own (I had the garage, but it's tiny, unheated/cooled, and full of car/bikes/etc...

I used to do a lot of 1:1 car stuff (resto/autocross/trackdays), so I had a lot of stuff, it just wasn't useable.

Now I just need to fill it up with more projects... :D

Cool thread...

Here’s my work space, 1880’s built home with a dungeon for a basement (hence the "log" for a beam support  ). Soon to be adding a small fridge for beer. :D

We're looking for a new house and if I find one with a log for a support you can bet I'm sold! 8)

What exactly is the AE car stand and where did you get it?? 8)
