yeah, I agree completely.....but if it's one thing I've learned....sometimes it's better to start from scratch than to hack something to pieces to make it fit.....then you can make how YOU want it and not have to compromise.
I’m definitely looking forward to this. I love RC10s and monster trucks! I can’t help it. Being from southern IN it’s just inbred into you…I mean BRED into you(mama told me never to speak of that). Here’s my GT brushless conversion with IMEX tires. Not nearly as extreme, but loads of fun. I ran it a bit, but then sold the tires and bought new ones for shelf purposes. Keep us posted!

those are definitely 2.2 and if thumber's voices in his head stay quiet long enuf he might get back to answer the traction question

Well, I haven’t killed anyone in 3 days. That’s a plus.
As for traction they are about as good as any chevron style tire. Spikes are always best for overall grip, but with 5700kv under 3s power, a little forgiveness even with an all steel tranny(Terminator in drag if you will)is not a bad thing. Plus, they would prolly last forever(if I ever ran them ). Here they are. IMEX is surprisingly obscure. Look around if you get a moment.
love your enthusiasm, but I think you are going to have more fun building this than driving it. BUT, I do hope it holds up and you get some good hours out of it.
