R.O.S.S. System

Post by top cat mike »

Picked up a LOSI Ten-T with the ROSS system back in February. If anyone is unfamiliar with the product it is a nitro truck that starts with the push of a button. The weather has finally broken for the better and I have been able to run a few tanks through it. The ROSS system is a bit of a pain to figure out, but once you do it is awesome. By figure out I mean the nuances of the product and not simply which button to push. I was running into problems with the OWB (one way bearing) due to the way I was priming the engine. It is a bit fussy and will not start unless its temperature is above 84 degrees. I love the truck though, it is a tank. The pounding it took yesterday would have had many other nitro trucks in pieces, Not a bad little toy. :D

I've had the opportunity to mess around with one at the track and they are pretty cool. My only complaint is that there's so much going on when working on it. Luckily, as you stated, you don't have to work on them too often. :D

84 degrees! Wow. I would have to wait forever here for it to finally get that warm. Been a cool spring.

Heat gun. I had my nitro days, but it's just too messy and high maintenance. I do love the sound of a well tuned engine though!

I decided to go for a bike ride yesterday because the weather had been nice all week, high '80's. It hit 96.
