RC10 Sand Buggy

Post by railey72 »

Here is a sneak peak at my next project. Wanted to do a scale looking sand/dune buggy with a super champ front end and RC10 rear end. The original plan was to use A&L trailing arms for the rear suspension but I wasn't able to achieve the look I was going for so this will have the standard rear a-arms. The front will use a widened super champ/ rough rider front suspension.

Too early to know 'bormac', too late to know 'mrlexan', just in time to know 'murphy3428'.

This has been a "long term" project so I am excited to see the finished build. I've been waiting for it to get nice out so I can finish the sanding in my garage then get it painted. The "skills" behind this project belong to Hulkwerks. Great guy and does amazing work on tube frames. This will be as scale as possible with aluminum floor panels, servo actuated steering wheel, seats, lights and anything else that looks good. The trick is going to be selecting a tire/wheel combo that looks right.
