Another one, usage for a3030 narrow rear axle?

Post by mytimac »

Can you tell I am going through a bunch of parts?
Tried google and can't find answer
I have yellow tag package of a3030. Says NEW Narrow Rear Axle Set.
Any ideas on this one? Later XX models, or maybe XX4 or Street Weapon.
Looks to be an optional or upgrade part. Gone through the explodes for XX, XX4, SW
Came after 1995 I think.

Thanks,
Dan

Strenge,

The A3015 is the usual rear axle.
They cames from the JRX2 to the xxx4.
The only special design I know feet the XXX BK2, but the usually fit the pins holes for both standard and specific length.

Well, after checking the Wayback Machine. Looks like it was made before the XX4 and SW.
I am going to have to compare the 3015 and the 3030 together and see what difference there is.

Ok, the clue was in the picture. The thin skims.
The a3030 has the pin hole closer to the hub. Then you can't use that thicker spacer and need the thin skims instead. This must have been used to put different rims on the older cars and maybe stay within a certain width.
