Thanks for the compliments guys. I am thinking about stickering the body a bit, but I don't think I will paint this one up. If someone were to produce reproductions for a reasonable cost I would paint one.
I haven't put a motor in it yet. I have a few vintage stockers I could use that would look good.
I'm searching for the ESC I had BITD for racing, a tekin ESC610.
once I get that I'll finish it off.

Re: JRX-2 build Updated 5/25
I finally got ahold of the ESC I have been looking for, and without spending crazy money either(17.50 shipped).
It is on a kydex esc shelf, I'm not sure if it is homemade or not, I got it with a car. The connectors are old-stlye deans 4-pin, not the newer ones with the lip.
The front tires were replaced with NIP stagger ribs.
The transmission is my nearly full-aftermarket trans, and I replaced the used rear bulkhead with a new one.
The litespeed motor plate interfered with the robinson adjustable toe-in system. I got fed up and replaced the silly robinson unit with an RPM rear hinge pin carrier instead. Now I have 3 extra holes in the chassis, but at least it was a used one.
All that needs to happen to get this one going is a pinion gear, and soldering the motor.
I don't think I will be able to solder it up. Once It gets that far it would be too tempting to take it for a spin. . .

Re: JRX-2 build Updated 9/24
I finally got ahold of the last 2 rpm items needed to complete this build. Thanks to clinehobbies I have added the RPM front spindles and heavy duty carriers.
I also changed the wheels out to the set of JPS directionals that I restored to a satin finish. The rears are a fresh pair of my favorite tire, the X-pattern.
I still haven't painted or stickerd the body/wing.
I think I have every RPM part available except for the shock pistons.
I am undecided on geting a set of the RPM 8-32 nuts and drill them out for the 10-32 axles for the all black stealth look vs putting the orange wheels back on.

Looking better and better, I think your rims are Sees, not JPS, I have the same set on my hopped-up Jrx2

I thought the wheels are the Razors http://www.jpspro.com/images/a8-Cat%20small.jpg
How do I tell the difference between sees and the JPS?

Got a matching sees steering wheel
If I can find a cheap parma flexi antenna and a kimbrough grip, I'll have the TX all hopped-up too.

I've got one of those flex antennas, too. I thought it was a hacked-in car antenna...

Anthony, did you find yourself an antenna? I went digging today and I came across two NIP Parma antennas. Let me know.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

Do you have any extra rear carrier blocks from RPM, Anthony?

I like the fuel tubing trick on the gear cover BTW. Wonder if it would hold?

Re: JRX-2 aftermarket build Updated 3/14/08
Wow, This car has been sitting on the shelf for 3 years now.
Time to make some changes. in the interval I have gotten a pair of new chassis plates, so I will replace the scratched and drilled one that has been used so far.
2 of the RPM parts, the steering bellcranks and battery box require drilling.
I do not want to drill a new plate so I've changed it up a bit. The bellcranks themselves were drilled out from 1/4" to 5/16". This allowed me to use the stock losi steering posts and some 3/16x5/16 flanged bearings with a couple shims instead of 8-32 screws and the rpm white plastic standoffs.
Instead of the rpm battery box I have added a NIP pure-tech battery strap.
The side links were some of the only used parts on the build, so I replaced them with new ones.
back on the shelf it goes.
