I've built lots of stuff over the years, but yes, I generally try to make them somewhat sensible...

Re: RC10Talk's "Low Buck Build-Off"
that truck reminds me of BIGFOOT#5, the one that had the 10' tall tires.

I dont suppose an old build like that can be entered for this build off

Re: RC10Talk's "Low Buck Build-Off" RC10 DB entry
Here's my entry. It's inspired by the Kyosho Ulitma DB and another build on RC10Talk (http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=10162&start=105).
My RC10 DB build took the "Low Buck" aspect very seriously. I didn't have to fab anything - everything I had worked with no mods at all (the reason I didn't post a separate build thread). The chassis was pretty scratched up so I gave it a very light sanding and sprayed it with red Rustoleum.
RC10T: "FREE" when I bought a complete T4 off craigslist (for $80.00)
B4 slipper assembly and top shaft : $14.95 ebay
Nose plate to replace bent one: $0.99 ebay
Losi High Torque servo: $6.75
RPM bumper: $3.49
RC10 Viper body: $11.49
SC10 dogbones, axles, wheel & tires, and hub spacers all spares from my SC10
It has RPM arms at all four corners (on when I got it). I'm using a NOVAK Rooster ESC, Revtech Motor and an old AM Futaba Tx/Rx. It's really fun to drive and looks pretty "scale" to me.

Man I haven't been on in forever and I missed out on such a cool opportunity. Nice work everyone!
If it isn't broke, I haven't driven it yet.

Re: RC10Talk's "Low Buck Build-Off"
You haven't missed anything: you can still build whatever you like ... the opportunity to win a custom embroided hat , ok you missed that. But it wouldn't have made a difference if you came by earlier really. Nothing's happened after the closing date for the entriesDer Kommissar wrote:Man I haven't been on in forever and I missed out on such a cool opportunity. Nice work everyone!
