My Lazer ZX Re Birth..

Post by Mad Racer »

Got this Lazer ZX from e bay in the U.K.

I got a new body from TBG and custom Lazer ZX decals. I have now stripped it down and got new parts for the rebuild. As well as new parts on the way. The biggest problem has been the broken front diff case. Still not 100% solved as i bought a Lazer Apha for a doner but the case is plastic not nylon.

New shock towers from Pargu 2000, New front and rear belts. New front gold shocks. New carbon fiber upper deck. New battery posts with straps. New Hyper slipper clutch to run Kimbrough spur gears. New belt covers. New body, Dual element rear wing. Custom Kyosho decals. Undertray. Yokomo wheel adopters , J.C racing wheels, On the way. Losi rubber.

Electrics will be a digital servo, Hobby wing 9t brushless at this stage as it is a runner .

Still in rebuild stage but some pics.

Lazer ZX are one of my all time favourite models, here's mine:-

I must say your's is looking great on the 2.2s but tell me your not going to fit those duratrax front shocks? original Kyosho ones do come up quite often.

Timetunnel Models might be able to help you out with a front gear box case, I got mine from them
Experience is that marvelous thing that enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.

Very nice!
I just picked up a couple of project ZXR's last night. Well, one is 80% complete, the other is pretty much just a parts car. Seeing yours is definitely motivation to get mine done!
