Snagged a JRX-Pro

Post by hkp »

Guys I got a JRX-Pro today for $40.. my first vintage losi! Looks like good car on the whole with very little use. It needs some shock collars replacing and rust removal, but is generally very good, even the original tyres look new.

I have two problems though and need to ask the advice of the Losi gurus. It needs a new bodyshell as the one on it is very badly painted. Also it is missing a gear cover. :(

Are these parts available anywhere? i'd love to get this old girl back to her former glory :)

There is an original losi body at my LHS, painted by Andy Jacobsen if I remember right...I think its marked down to $19.99. I've been eyeballing it, but I dont have anything to put it on yet.

I would like it, if possible! :) just drop me a PM to organize.

S'ok Jay, i was being sensitive last night anyway, currently in a battle with a vendor over 4 faulty 1:1 car tires he supplied that are starting to split on the sidewall after 5 weeks (light) use.

I knew you guys would come to my rescue as usual.

Sorry ferretti, I'd like this body - you haven't seen up close how bad this one is!!

Hi,

I have an A&L Losi JRX2/JRX PRO, etc. power clutch kit for sale. It is new in bag and comes with a lexan gear cover. Would anyone be interested?

Cheers

Ed

Gear cover is easy, Horizon Hobby UK still have the hydradrive version in stock. Part number A3004, they even have most of the hydradrive parts left as well. I rebuilt my LXT just using parts I ordered from them through my LHS, even a new LXT body. They do still hold a lot of old parts, although a Pro is probably a bit too old for them. Email them the part numbers you are after [email protected] and they usually get back pretty quickly.

well shoot me now for not looking closer.

The body is a Losi A-8046, XX Interceptor, not the Pro body. I appologize. Here are pics though, if anyone is interested. If not, I may keep it to slap on a runner for my boys, or toss it on eBay. I am no photographer, and you really cant make out the Andy's signature on there.

Losi Guru's help out....will the XX series buggy bodies fit the JRX2? I think it may be too narrow for the 5 link car, but maybe fit the molded chassis car. But I would like someone more knowledgable to answer that.
