MK-600 ESC Help please.
Hi, I recently received this esc in working condition from a vintage RC car I bought.
Can anyone identify the brand for me?
I am really trying to find a manual for it.
It looks similar to an old Sanwa one I own but I cant find anything on google.
Thanks
Chris

Re: MK-600 ESC Help please.
I had one in the 80's.
I thought is was made in Melbourne. It has a relay that you can hear click in and out. The Realay should click at 3/4 throttle to bypass the reistors inside to give less on restance.
Not a very good unit as mine popped so many times with a Le Mans 480T in my Mauri Galaxy. ( 25t by the way)
If you are to run it i wouldn't go any hotter than a Mabuchi stock motor in a 2wd.
Cheers.
Mark.

Is it an early Ko Propo? I have the Gold RM Limited unit which looks to have a similar case.

Re: MK-600 ESC Help please.
Also not by KO Jason...you have a picture of the gold RM limited version? I remember my friend having an ESC which had an alloy gold annodised cover like the MK but it was forward only and was absolutely tiny compared to what was available back then (it was at least half the size of of the MK). He ran it in unlimited class bitd with his Turbo Optima (using 7 cells 8.4v batts) so it must have some decent current handling capabilities. He got it in Hong Kong from memory.

Re: MK-600 ESC Help please.
Pretty confident that it is a Sanwa Chris, or at least the MK600 was "badged" a Sanwa. I am pretty sure that there was also another "badge engineered" brand that used the same speedy with a gold or red case under a different name.
I have one of these NIB somwehere in the collection, not sure if I have the manual though.
I remember them lasting about 1 or two days racing before you had to pull them apart and take the protective plastic cover off the relay switch and clean the contacts, put a bit of vaseline on them and then put the cover over again and put the rest of the speedy back together. For what they were - they were a pretty good speedy - not really designed for terribly hot motors though - not much over a stock motor was recommended.
Cheers

Re: MK-600 ESC Help please.
Nova rings a bell with the gold coloured escHow about NOVA? Not be confused with novak.
Ok if it was a rebadged Sanwa then it could be possible with all the confusion but pretty sure mine did not have anything Sanwa printed on it (yes mine gave up the ghost as well and I pulled it apart to have a look)...but it has been awhile so who knowsPretty confident that it is a Sanwa Chris, or at least the MK600 was "badged" a Sanwa.

Re: MK-600 ESC Help please.
I had a couple of these, they came in a plastic clear box, were common in australia.
could be a generic brand, these were unbranded as far as i know, maybe MK models.
