I see a lot of people with Goodyear ties on there RC10's, But after looking at my Goldtub it has no writing on the sides of the tires ib the front or rear tires. Which are more rare to come by?
By shear production numbers the goodyears are far rarer- but they only "belong" on a very narrow group of cars. If you are just browsing here without going past the first page or so in the threads then I can see how they would seem common, but check out the 25 years of the rc10 thread for some more info
I just got these off the bay for $2. The wheels are used and the tires are new. I thought they might fit the old RC10 but they are too small, 1 1/2 . When and who made these? I would like to find some rears to go on my SRB. IMG_7506.JPG IMG_7510.JPG

You need the rears.... and a Marui Galaxy (or Hunter) to put them all on. :D
Check out the reference section at tamiyaclub.com
Under 'other makes' there's tons of Maruis to check out.
Got a surprising find with an Edinger RC10 that I bought and that I'm restoring. Any clues about these Goodyear tires? I've seen the ones in the 25 years of the RC10 post, but have never come across square ones before.
The chassis and...

Nice, I'll take it!
Gonna try to get as close to kit original as possible.
Just to get a feel, and to know how many to make.
How many people here would buy a full reproduction set of the GOODYEAR tires for $100.00 ?
This 'set' consists of two 7-groove front tires with GOODYEAR on the sides and two rear tires with GOODYEAR...

Honestly I think to sell it for 500.00 (note it has not sold for 600.00 for some time, as I had been watching it.), the potential owner would want to have the original tires on it as well. I truly think if you bought that car, removed the tires,...
Hi everyone! This ebay find came mostly done I just added a Stealth trans, Trinity Point Blank wheels/tires, and some old radio gear. Some of the parts need some more dye, I used the liquid Rit and it didn't seem as effective as the powder. Is...

damn, you just keep pumping them out. props to an excellent looking buggy.
Thank you! A lot to do on this one yet, and possibly some rearranging of parts. I don't know if I'm pumping them out or have too many unfinished projects!
I swear I saw someone recently who had a pan car running rear body mounts that went out the side (low) instead of the top. A little short 90deg. mount. But now I can't find the pic or info. I want to use a mount that style for a weirdo body I have....

Just got another Paragon 16T on e-Bay after replying to the thread. Ya snooze ya lose!
Doh!
Stupid work gets in the way of my projects too... I should quit my job so I can get some projects finished!
Im cleaning up my original rc10 buggy. The battery trays are mounted side to side and i would like to keep it that way so i can run the original mechanical speed control. Problem is none of my stick packs fit. I had a junk 6 cell so i opened it up...

you would eventually damage the MSC, simply due to the fact that the lipo will likely have a much longer run time, resulting in overheating the resistors. they get smokin' hot running for 4-8 minutes, much longer and the parts will start to degrade.
so i got a bunch of stuff for a build, not quite all there yet, but i figured doing the trans/diff will keep me psyched on keeping with the parts hunting
so....diff is silk, got everything plopped into the t2 case, spaced the top shaft right, check...

You could probably use TC3/4 diff shims if needed.
I thought you might be interested in a side by side comparo of these two JRX2 bodies. I purchased the Team Bluegroove body after realizing I was too late to get one of Erich's. I must admit the cost kind of put me off as well. But, as things have a...

It's nice to know that there are people out there putting time and effort into creating excellent repro works of art that can fill the void of products long gone and very coveted.
