Surprisingly, it is quite easy to carry guns on the plane. They have to be unloaded and in a locked case, and they must be checked by TSA. It is as easy as checking a suitcase. You can also have a certain amount of ammo in the case with them, IIRC it is 13lbs. of ammo per case. There is a fee, of coarse. I was quite surprised to learn this myself when I was trying to get some of my guns from NY to TX. It is harder to have them shipped, they can only be shipped from an authorized dealer to an authorized dealer.

It kind of makes you feel like a bad-ass, walking through the airport with a rifle case, getting strange looks from people.... :lol:
