My Vintage RC10
Never been run. It's been in a few ads and hobby shows, but that's it.

Yep... Before I worked for Associated, I freelanced some ad and design work for them, and did this body as a display car.
Ten years later, When I put together my vintage gold tub, I found this body in the old trade show booth boxes. It's not exactly first generation like the rest of the chassis, but it was memorable for me.
I also have the box art B3 and T3 bodies, as well at the first prototype "flag" Monster GT body... one of two hand-painted ones that got sent to Taiwan as examples for what the pre-printed ones should look like.
We trashed the other hand-painted one in a video, the one with the music by Static-X....

Welcome Mike! Glad to have you here! You're going to make a lot of guys really excited with what you have to share.
Guys, we have a real-life R/C folk hero here.
If you have picked up any R/C magazine in the last 20+ years, you've seen Mike's expert work. Besides being the head marketing guy at Associated for many years, Mike has painted and produced some of the all-time great magazine feature cars are articles. I'm sure he'll be able to display some absolutely historical cars and artwork here, as well as be able to answer a lot of your questions about much of the history of Associated and the R/C industry.
Not to mention the fact that he's now the owner and operator of Grand Motorsports, which produces some of the finest electric and nitro drag cars—period.
Now, for the thread hijack.
I've been meaning to ask you, Mike—I think I have a body you may have painted for a trade show display car for SRP in the 80s. I'm almost positive it is. This is your style, but is it your handiwork?

Dang... you guys are embarrassing me...
That SRP body... almost certainly, yes... I can't say I exactly recall that one, but I did a LOT of bodies for Ron Young, and this one (a Premier Designs body) certainly would be in that time frame, 91, 92, 93 or so.
Off topic, again: In fact, I did show bodies for Superior which got seen at the Pomona RCHTA show, and shortly after that's when I got the call from Larry Wood at Mattel to design the paint jobs for the Hot Wheels "Cal Customs" series cars.

I knew it!!!
SWEEEEEEEEEET! I own an Ogle original.
Under that body is one of the original SRP-1 show cars that I found in the basement of an Ohio hobby shop MANY years ago. It had been used as a parts car for a team driver after the show circuit, and it needed a going through, but it was essentially a new car. I snagged it as you see it (roller) for $60 in 2000.

Yeah, magnesium arms and bulkheads. I ran one in 1989 or thereabouts, and built this one up as a replica of my old car. I even found the old article you did in Competition Plus about that car.

This one has never seen dirt and is the condition it was in back when they were new.
