RS Cosworth.

Post by Synergy »

I just received this one today from a very nice gentleman on Tamiya club :D , it's a never ran example that has been well built and beautifully detailed and as expected it's in mint condition. I'm guessing it was released somewhere about 90-92 seems to fit in with my memories.

For some reason I started to get interested in scale models last year and this one was a bit of a must have as I have a bit of history with this model, in about 91 – 92 our local club held a sponsored 24 hour endurance event, we had a local celebrity (Billy Fene from Byke Grove, listening for the tumble weed  ) drop the flag and pretend to drive a lap with the pace car, the pace car was a Kyosho Cosworth and I was the actual driver. The event raised an impressive amount for local charities and me, Billy and the Cosworth made the local papers, unfortunately I didn’t have the forethought to keep the article  .

I had forgotten just how big and impressive these bodies are compared to the touring cars of today 8)

Very nice, mate.... I too was looking out for one of these for a while... managed to pick up a nice enough model locally, although my black shell is missing the Texaco decals.....

These cars do have a presence way beyond their humble Raider-derived chassis..... I will eventually run mine for a bit of fun, and hope one day to get the proper decals for it!

Nice pickup!
