New to trucks, my first 2 10Ts

Trucks weren't my thing. I never had one as I always preferred the buggies. But in the last week, I stumbled upon 2 RC10Ts and I just couldn'd pass up on the prices (for the condition they're in). Still wish they were buggies. I thought of parting them out and make buggies out of them but now, I would like to learn about them.. See if I'll like them. I still don't have them in my hands, maybe next week. They do look like they'd make good bashers with the shocks and towers protected inside the body. I might just make one (a basher) and maybe this is the ideal ride which I can let my 3YO son play with.

Questions:
1. How many versions of 10T AE released?
2. Did AE release 10Ts with all-black plastics and towers? Later model like the buggies? Not sure if the one I have below was dyed or factory black.
3. Is the 10T steering assembly interchangeable with the buggies?

And this one looks to have been used but is in very good condition as far as I can see. Chassis only has a couple scratches underneath..

They are both 10t's, the bottom one being an earlier version and the top one being one of the last versions offered. And the 10t bellcranks are not interchangeable unless you put your buggy in long wheelbase in the front, but then it won't ever turn

Thanks! Like in the buggies, I also like the white parts better. I'll see how the white plastics are, if they're in good enough condition, I'll probably switch the chassis set.

Trust me I tried to resist it. I REALLY don't want to spend any more money on these, at least until we move to a new house. But I just keep stumbling on such good deals. Maybe I need to stop looking around!!! I just bought something else from a member here, too. Seriously, that's it for me. No more purchases! Unless I find a nice Javelin, or an Optima, or a YZ10, or a Worlds Car. You and Jun better stop posting links to deals, too!

Just finished my first one. Well, not 100% yet, but practically there. Pretty much a standard 10T.
