I got this nice decals
Yesterday I went to yatabe arena and I got this decals. Many of the cars Masami used to run have them.
Re: I got this nice decals
I bought that sheet a couple years ago at the small shop that is in the YATABE ARENA.mamadoesn`tletme wrote:Yesterday I went to yatabe arena and I got this decals. Many of the cars Masami used to run have them.
But it is different in many ways to the decals you can find on Masami's older cars for instance.
First of all, the little car design underneath the YATABE ARENA wording is a touring car on that sheet, when it was a little dogfighter
on the original sheet. Secondly, logo size are different.
Lastly, the larger white logos on that particular sheet have a black outline. The original ones had none.
Masami may have used those decals on his later TC cars, but this has to be confirmed.

Re: I got this nice decals
I disagree you. Size was exactly the same (there are two sizes) and no black outline.
What I am not still sure is about the little car. It could have been a dogfighter before the 2000 touring car championships that were held at Yatabe. Anyway I have asked people that were there in 1995 to see if they remember. But about size, shades, design, are the same stickers. So is not different in many ways as you say...
Congrats
if you get there two years ago,me too. It is in the midle of now where, no hotels, no shops, nothing. And unless you can read japanese or have a friend who can read it, it is almost impossible to get there alone.

Re: I got this nice decals
Exactly. I have checked my car. That is the only difference, the small off road car. Anyway, no big difference. I bought 5 sheets to trade, just in case.

Sorry to disagree
!
See below scan. I put an original decal over the newest sheet (yours).
The original decal came in white or black, without any outline. On the new sheet half of them have outlines, we can find the logo's in 3 sizes.
The original decal sheet had a 4th size, something between the small and medium on your sheet.

On all Masami's off road cars, it is the small dogfighter logo type, not the TC. I am pretty sure it is also a small dogfighter on his '96 RC12LC WC car. I would have to check though.

I looked at Masami's TC cars from '04, '06 and '08 (his last TC Worlds). Only his '06 ride had Y/A decals, and it is the small modern type block letter that is on the extra separate decal sheet. See below image (above the ORION)

Since there was no Y/A decals on none of '04 on-road and '05 off-road Worlds cars, but there were on his '06 Worlds car, I am assuming this new design decal sheet may have been printed some time in 2006.
I bought mine in 2007

Re: I got this nice decals
So, the only diffrences from the old to the new one ( probably done for the 2000 on road championships) are:
1. That small car, not a off road car, but an onrad car. And..
2. Possibly, just possibly, new designs added. Black decals with white outlines and viceversa. Together with that extra small sheet that has the katakana readings of YA.
BTW, in the YZ10 pic you have uploaded, I would like to see a detail. I may have decals too of rajiconmagazine, but I am not sure. Do you have any piture that captures this detail?

Yes, you are correct. The new sheet 'misses' 1 logo size and have the on-road car detail instead of the dogfightermamadoesn`tletme wrote:So, the only diffrences from the old to the new one ( probably done for the 2000 on road championships) are:

I have just looked at some 2000 and '02 Worlds pics and found no such decals on Masami's cars (1/12, 1/10 and TC).
So I don't know if that sheet was printed for the 2000 Worlds. Since the first time I can find them is 2006, I have assumed they were printed in 2006

Re: I got this nice decals
the only difference is that in the actual decals there is a touring car instead of an off road car

Re: I got this nice decals
Masami had the decals with the "Buggy" on them on his RC12LC (1/12 P-35 body) and his original WC winning YRX-10 (1/10 P-35 body), they were the white decals.
