Caine's first time, team car runner :)

Post by Caine »

Thought it was about time i put some pics up of my team car, it's my first completed build with another 3 on the backburner at the moment! This was bought a few months ago with the intention of running it in my clubs yearly vintage series that they run.
The car was stored for some years and was in pretty good shape when i got her so all that was needed was a good strip down clean and rebuild, sorting out rebuilds of the diff, shocks and replacing bearings on the way.
She's pretty much stock apart from the b4 topshaft and slipper and jc wheels. I'm running stock brushless which came from my b4.1 as i have an ezrun in that now. I must say she runs very well and the only faults are in my driving! I always wanted rc10's as a kid and the wait has not dissapointed.
She just needs a period wing(which is on the way) the worlds bellcranks ( thanks to jeff on here) new turnbuckles, ballends and the MIP CVD's and i think that'll do me for the moment.
I would like to say thanks to all you guys on here for the wealth of knowledge you have on these excellent cars and the fact that you are more than willing to share what you have learnt or discovered yourselves over the years.
Look out for my next build which is gonna be an RC10T all in black RPM parts ( just waiting for the last few bits to arrive!) My girlfriend will be pleased again.
Thanks again guys :D

Nice looking VERY clean build. Congrats. The Viper looks good on your car, and I'm not a fan of Vipers :D . Like the JC 5 spokes too  . Wish they didn't cost so much (due to shipping) to my side of the pond!!
