What would you do?(removing JB weld)

Post by suby56 »

What do you think? I got a rc10t2 off ebay, that is in ok shape, but the ESC is attatched to the Chassis with JB weld!

So, does anyone know of a way to remove JB weld. All I can think of is hitting it with a chisel. The ESC works, it just looks ugly. I am just running this on my little backyard track.

What would you do? Leave it as is or give it a whack?

Thanks,
Clay

JB weld sticks to plastic?!! who knew!

Good luck. I know it take a lot to get it off. It may break the esc case hitting it.

Maybe file and sand it a bit to minimize it?

this is probably one of those instances where.... if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it. if you burn up the esc somewhere down the road, destroy it trying to break it loose then.

It's just when I look at it, it makes me cringe. But, I agree, I will just leave it. Sanding it smooth is a very good idea, I'll give that a try.

Thanks.
