Does the icarus share the same chassis as the pegasus?

Ya, Tim they are the same chassis. Also very similar to the Cosmo, but the Cosmo has a slighty different front end.

Wrong tyres and some overheating issues but overall it's first race went well.

Ended up on my roof 3 or 4 times :( but still happy with 3rd in the B final.

I was the only person running brushed (19 turn) and all the other cars were 24 or more...

Looks like the old lady was going just as well as the more modern cars in these peculiar conditions! At least the suspensions aren't too stressed :mrgreen: It's all in the tires...

Ok i was not going to start a new build thread but i have run into some questions i can not answer lol

Can anyone tell me if the Kyosho Icarus (2wd caged vehicle) was a decent running beginners buggy? I'm thinking about looking for one for next year's off road vintage nats beginner's class and wanted to know the good/bad aspects of the buggy.

I don't know about the Icarus availability, but the Pegasus and Bandido bodies fit as well. TBG has both of them.

The Kyosho Icarus is a 2WD entry-level RC car from the year 1985/1986. It has the same chassis as the Pegasus, Cosmo and Cox Bandido. The original motor is the 360ST, size 550, 22 turns - 22,000 rpm and it has independent suspension on four wheels...

i got these from Gary (redscampi) in a trade, thanks gary! the 2 bandidos with the red tubs where completly stripped down and cleaned up. then i made one good one using all the parts from the 2. the best one is the one with the black body,next best...

Hi,

Just picked up an old Cox Bandido Chassis (Kyosho Pegasus rebadge) and some kyosho pegasus wheels but cant find rear tyres anywhere. Does anyone know of any current tyres that are same size as the old Kyosho rear Mud Star tyres.
