RC300 kit comes with a "kit" to braze your own tin fuel tank with screwtop lid;
the plastic blob in your top pic is an unoriginal addition.

Rear diff was an option available.

Used to race these BiTD.

Yes until the high Johnson fuel tank was unavailable and the rc300 kits came with a Sullivan plastic tank, a new copy of paper with a cutting template and instructions. The ball diff was an option but was also a whole car kit!

Maybe I'm wrong, but that may be the first time I've seen a tuned pipe run reverse. Looks like one of those 80's 1/8 scale buggy exhaust with the stinger going to the engine.

I picked this one up from craigislist from orginal owner. The car is all stock and has never been restored. Its been sitting in his basement out of use since the mid 80's I got it home and wiped about 1/2 of dust off it. Car came with some ae papers and the os max vf-c booklet in chinese :cry: I may keep it or flog it on fleabay.

No there was never a screw on cap the only fuel filler to come with the car was a Gitts bros cap witch you have!
