They made Tamiya-adaptors, back in the day, so one could mount tamiya rims on anything. I don't remember specifically who made them, but I see them on eBay pretty often.pattywagon34 wrote:has any one ever mounted tamiya hornet rims and tires on a rc10 buggy?

I don't ever recall an adapter for rear wheels. I've seen quite a few tamiya tires stretched onto RC10 wheels

We used them all the time, back in the day, when we converted our RC10s (etc.) to run them in the Monster Truck Class - before they were making JRXT's and RC10T's.shodog wrote:I don't ever recall an adapter for rear wheels. I've seen quite a few tamiya tires stretched onto RC10 wheels

You just gotta look, they're out there.
Here's a couple of examples-

I remember them as well, we ran different Tamiya rear tires on our RC10's in Dirt Oval classes. I want to think they were CRP?

True - back in the day we had to be creative, nowadays the kids have it easy.Charlie don't surf wrote:I remember them as well, we ran different Tamiya rear tires on our RC10's in Dirt Oval classes. I want to think they were CRP?

Re: Tamiya hornet rims on a rc10
here is what you need for the rears.
http://compare.ebay.com/like/380190031792?ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar&rvr_id=163763053564&crlp=1_263602_304662&UA=WXI8&GUID=1dc57a9112c0a02662247484ffdca5b4&itemid=380190031792&ff4=263602_304662
CRP has the front axles for RC10. CRP lists the adaptors but no barrell nuts. Go with the JG listing.
