TURBO MID SE with pics

hi after 20 odd years finally got myself an optima mid!
got it off ebay, been looking for ages then one with a buy it know price that was reasonable appeared!
was told that it needed work but was an turbo love the platinum shocks so had it!!!
well it appears that it was.
1 run over!!!!!
2 pulled from a compactor!!!!!
one of the drive shafts had a 90 bend in it, and the rear bottom arm was snaped in 2!!!!!!!
have had to get 1 rear shock repaired with new body, bottom eye,+ other bits!! cost more than i dare tell wife! lol
so i now spend hours looking on ebay for the bits to turn this into a good runner!!!

Welcome to the forum! Get some pictures up, we all like pictures! There are a lot of parts available on ebay for these cars, you just have to be patient. There is a vendor named fireboy I think that has lots of Kyosho parts. A little steep but he seems to have a lot of NIP stuff.

my mid laid bare! need to find a rear spoiler mount as its missing!

paint job not to good i didnt do it! new body from marwan after hols???

rear arm that was broke fixed with super glue still trying to get hold of one thats not to expensive!!

picked these up in 80s to run on my rocky! think i used them once so still in good condition!

Your car looks great! That rear arm shouldn't be too hard to find. Someone is likely to have a good one in a parts box. I'd suggest sticking around, get your post count up and post a wanted ad in the buy-sell-trade forum. Here's my Mid that I recently restored. I have another in the works. Love these cars!

Both cars look good. Yeah Keep your eye on the parts lot type searched on EBay. You'll see random parts pop up. I had a turbo optima back in the day and I'm still keeping my eyes open for that on ebay. I have a full set of platinums, only because I got them at a good price. Just keep your eyes open. You'll find it.

Nice! On my wish list, I think one of the ZX's is a little higher up the list than an Optima Mid. (but just barely)
The Mid's looking pretty good too, btw.

won NIB suspension arm set OT69 for $1.80 got to be a bargin sometimes ebay comes up trumps!!!!
