reversing the rotation of BL motors

Post by treehugger »

So i would like to run my BL motor on my A n L trans as a mid but needing to reverse the rotation of the transmission .
I have been reading a few ideas from the net and it seems if you change two of the wires from the esc to the motor ie a to c and c to a this will in fact reverse the rotation of the BL motor i have a non sensored BL velineon motor with the suplied esc. Has anyone tried this or know a reason why this wouldnt work?

that's right just switch the wires- no problems. ESC that are programmable- you can do it on the computer. But switch the lines works fine.

Definatly, long as you switch any 2 wires the motor rotation will be reversed. If you have a castle esc, you can reverse the rotation via castle link as well.

switching 2 phases only works reliably with sensorless mills!!!
