i havent built anything up from a kit since a frog about 4-5 years ago. i'm really stoked about the build. i can pretty much put together a rc10 behind my back anymore, it's gonna be refreshing to break out of that routine.shodog wrote:Nice, I think you are going to like the truck. Build it up stock first then you can see what every mod adds to it.
i plan on keeping it semi-sorta stock, but i'm gonna go ahead and build it from the get go for flex while trying to keep it as low and scale as possible. i wish the tranny was designed a little different. i'm already thinking clocked axle-c's and an emaxx 2sp trans.

VERY ENTERTAINING build so-far. now i see what all the hype with the old 3 speeds is all about.
the diaz chassis wasnt really engineered to be used without hacking a bunch of stock stuff around, so i ordered a monotuning chassis, but i've already decided to stick with the stock chassis since these things like wieght in order to move the suspension. if it gets too heavy after i have it all built up warpig style i'll swap the monotuning chassis in there.
the only mods so-far are leaf springs with traxxas ball ends and green slime in the shocks.
this is just me lifting the rear tire until the front begins to lift... i cant possibly describe how smooth it is compared to stock.

traxxas ends on the leafs, and front mount steering servo
