latest ebay score-one pink nightmare!
So I got all this stuff on ebay that was dyed pink, I was hoping the bidding would stay low because of all of it's pinkness.....and it worked, I got it for a decent price.
hiding among all that pink was a raborn universal set (including arms), a decent stealth with a clean litespeed motor plate, and a decent set of .71 team shocks.
This looks like an old oval racer and you guys that know this stuff would be able to answer my questions, I was never into the oval scene but it always intrigued me.
anyway, a couple questions:
first, the wheels, the fronts and rears match, the rears are quite narrow, and have a hex drive. they have nice matching aluminum adapters for the 1/4" axle. any ideas who made them? Schumacher tires are mounted on them.
second, there are a couple sets of caster blocks that don't have the 'ear' at the top, but a simple hole, for a ball joint or screw. they are not modified, the casting line can be seen on the top, so they were made like this. Anyone know who made 'em?
there are a couple of little blocks, that have holes drilled in them, and they a half circle molded in lengthwise, like something that you would use as a pillow block to mount a sway bar. ever heard of that, and who makes/made them? There looks to be some pancar stuff in here, so they might very well be for a pan car.
does anyone know who makes/made the front and rear shock tower?

Re: latest ebay score-one pink nightmare!
glad someone on the board got that lot...I was very close to putting a bid in.
The wheels look like proline, if you say the rear are narrow & 12mm hex, think kyosho 4wd front wheels, with adaptors to run on the rear.
Shock towers look like JG or Bolink, leaning more toward JG personally.

yeah, i was back and forth on bidding, but I figured why not.....
there are a couple of JG stickers on the bumpers, and while the bumpers are probably JG, the towers being the same makes sense.

HA, i was bidding on that too!
I figured it would have looked nice on my pink tub which i'm restoring.
Nice to see it went to someone on the forums though. It's just amusing.
Enjoy them!

Yeah, i'm glad to see that go to a good home. I would have bid if i hadn't already overextended myself this check. I kind of like the pink.
